Fundraising Assistant

Target TB is a comprised of a small and friendly team.  This role will be to assist the Fundraiser in various aspects of fundraising, and in particular in trust fundraising and administration.

The role:


Target TB rely on a variety of funding sources to continue in our aim to eradicate TB.  One of these sources is grant-making trusts and foundations. These can range from small trusts to larger grant giving bodies.  Your role will be to support the Fundraiser in researching and writing to smaller trusts requesting support for Target TB’s work.  Administration support tasks will also be a part of the role.  Beyond this there may be opportunity to become involved in other aspects of fundraising such as sponsored events and individual support and communication.  

If you have basic skills in graphic design or website management, there may also be opportunity to become involved in writing and designing communication materials such as leaflets and newsletters, and contributing to our website.  Opportunities for this can be discussed at interview.

Skills required:

 

An interest in fundraising in the voluntary sector.
Excellent written skills.
A close attention to detail.
Good research skills.
Good computer skills and the willingness and ability to learn to use Target TB’s donor database.
Highly motivated and are happy to work on your own initiative

Meet the volunteers:

 
   

Terri organized a two week exhibition for World TB Day 2007 in Brighton library which featured displays, activities and posters about TB to increase awareness of the global epidemic.

 Vicky organized a group of runners to participate in the Brighton 10k run. Her duties included publicity, fundraising for event support materials, and monitoring income raised.
