Target Tuberculosis started its 10th Anniversary year in the best way possible, with a £5,000 boost received from Bupa International. For the past decade, Target TB has been stopping people dying from TB in Africa and Asia and sees no slowing of its life-saving work.
Last year, Bupa International chose to partner with Target TB, helping to put basic TB healthcare into the heart of remote villages in Timor Leste, one of the poorest countries in the world. Now, Bupa is donating another £5,000 to kick start a special year of appeals and awareness raising by Target TB, so the charity can help even more people to survive the disease.
Nikki Jeffery, Director of Target TB, say’s ‘We’ve achieved a lot since 2003 but with 9 million new cases of TB every year, there is so much more to do. We are grateful to have the support of Bupa International and its members at this crucial time. 2013 is a big year for us and this donation is such an encouraging start’.

On average, Target TB spends just £10 per person to deliver its life-saving work, ensuring that some of the poorest people in the world get information, treatment, care and support for TB.
